Our Story

Livonia Pom 2003-2004 at their first performance, the Livonia Holiday Parade.

Livonia Pompon was founded in November 2003 by Andrea Shook at the age of just 19. After coaching 6 seasons of cheer & pom with Orioles Cheerleading, she decided to start a competitive team devoted to her true passion, pompon. 19 seasons later, Livonia Pom has grown to a competitive pompon program with the goal of challenging its members to reach their highest potential as performers, as teammates, and as young women.

We perform for fun at many events throughout the year, which in the past have included high school soccer, football, and basketball games; Detroit Pistons games; Walt Disney World; summer picnics; local parades; and more! We compete at Mid American High Kick and State Championships, the Badgerette Showdown, and the Michigan Pom Association Championships. We are very proud of all we have accomplished so far, and we always look forward to competition season!

Andrea continues to be involved in coaching and directing the program. She and our coaching staff strive to create teams of young women who are confident, respectful, and disciplined, both on and off the competitive floor.
